About the role
The Advanced Electro-Optical/Infrared Solutions (AES) team is seeking a Finance Lead to support the Emerging & Proprietary Programs portfolio. This position is a member of the AES and Finance leadership teams and partners with the AES CFO, Emerging & Proprietary Programs Director, Program Leadership, and functional organizations to support financial planning, program execution, and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of five or more finance professionals, including assigning work, providing coaching, mentoring, and supporting employee development.
- Partner with Program Leadership and functional organizations to support program execution, financial planning, and business objectives.
- Implement and maintain financial controls supporting contract execution and investment activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and contractual requirements across the program portfolio.
- Lead Estimates at Completion (EACs), Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) processes.
- Support financial forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, proposal activities, cash management, capital planning, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
- Provide financial guidance to the Emerging & Proprietary Programs portfolio, support program execution, and maintain financial controls.
- Manage multiple financial activities and support development and production programs across the portfolio.
- Manage a finance team of five or more finance professionals supporting development and production contracts.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing staff and leading business teams.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Experience communicating financial information verbally and in writing.
- Experience performing financial analysis and supporting business decision-making.
- Experience identifying and resolving financial and business process issues.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities across organizations.
- Experience supporting program proposal strategy, negotiations, and Performance-Based Payment (PBP) activities.
- Experience supporting Government, Department of Defense (DoD), or Aerospace programs.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Experience supporting external Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
