Program Control Analyst

About the Role

Play a critical role in supporting innovative research through effective program control and financial oversight. The Program Control Analyst encompasses the full lifecycle of sponsored research administration, including setting up new sponsored research projects, preparing and submitting interim and final invoices, analyzing reconciliation and control reports, and performing closeout activities. This role leverages knowledge of industry best practices to ensure delivered solutions comply with business requirements, accepted accounting practices, and Federal Sponsors’ audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up new sponsored research projects.
• Prepare and submit interim and final invoices.
• Analyze reconciliation and control reports.
• Perform closeout activities for sponsored research projects.
• Ensure compliance with business requirements, accepted accounting practices, and Federal Sponsors’ audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance OR four years’ work experience with government billings.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of various government agency financial systems, accounting procedures, terminology, and organizational structure.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and basic experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Three years’ experience with invoicing and analyzing federal government contracts to include Cost Plus, T&M, and FFP contracts.
• Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations.
• U.S. citizenship due to the requirements of research contracts with the U.S. federal government.

• In-depth knowledge of and expertise with Deltek Costpoint.
• Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong proven analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
