Program Chair - Master of Mental Health Counseling
Position Overview
To participate in a remote work arrangement, employees must reside in the United States. No remote work arrangement will be considered for working from outside the United States. Responsibilities
- Designing and developing the curriculum
- Creating policies, procedures, and assessment processes that support program quality and continuous improvement
- Establishing systems that ensure compliance with all accreditation standards
- Preparing and submitting accreditation applications and reports
- Oversight of the collection and analysis of assessment data
- Implementing quality assurance processes to support ongoing accreditation success
- Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, supervising, and evaluating faculty and subject matter experts
- Working closely with university leadership, admissions, student services, and instructional design teams to develop program infrastructure, support enrollment growth, and ensure a successful program launch
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with CACREP accreditation standards and processes
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Counselor Education and Supervision, or a closely related field, from a regionally accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent credential
- Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in clinical mental health counseling practice and higher education teaching
- Proven experience in academic program leadership, faculty supervision, or academic administration
- Strong track record of curriculum development and outcomes assessment
- PREFERRED: Experience leading CACREP accreditation activities, experience writing self-studies

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Ability to move about readily and rapidly, if necessary, around campus, classrooms, clinical settings, etc., to access classrooms, desks, students, office machinery, clinics, patients, etc.
- Constantly communicates using the spoken word with students, staff and colleagues
- Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess
- Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, clinical equipment, etc.
- Travel to off-site meetings or conferences or to observe students during clinical education at off-site clinical settings
