Program Assistant, Community Security Initiative

Principal Duties
- Provide administrative support and general assistance as needed to the Community Security Initiative program and department heads as assigned by the CSI Operations Manager.
- Aid in maintaining CSI databases and other internal security platforms, including community outreach to CSI partner institutions.
- Work with program staff to organize meetings and events, manage logistics, order food, and set up venues.
- Vet participant names, process announcements for training/special events, and handle registration confirmations.
- Coordinate with Federation personnel for special events catering, conference room setup, printing materials, and guest access.
- Assist with reviewing department budgets and tracking spending for all program departments.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory and submit purchase orders for office supplies, promotional materials, training kits, and catering for events.
- Aid in designing and creating promotional materials, and coordinate with vendors.
- Maintain various individual and department calendars as needed, and perform other job duties related to the position.
- Assist with program projects, demonstrating skills and flexibility to support various departments within the program.
Additional Duties
- Be available for professional staff for additional assignments as needed.
- Assist with the Campaign as needed.
- Be available for events and meetings outside normal working hours.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of responsible administrative or related experience required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Familiarity with database systems is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Graphic design or visual content creation experience is a plus.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a busy and fast-paced environment, adaptability, and the ability to shift priorities are required.
- Knowledge of Jewish life and the Los Angeles Jewish Community is a plus.
Hybrid Work Model
This position must report to a worksite on non-remote workdays, as determined by the Federation.
