Program Analyst.

Duties

  • Formulate budget requests for civil works programs.
  • Administer the budget for assigned program areas.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effective support.
  • Represent the district in meetings with higher headquarters.
  • Develop project management plans to ensure consistency with policy.
  • Monitor projects to identify and resolve execution delays.
  • Analyze changes from prior year budget submissions.
  • Forecast manpower requirements for civil works programs.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support budget submissions.

    Requirements

    • Conditions of employment: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time. This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License within 30 days of employment.

    • Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting in the development of budget requests or financial plans for an organization; 2) monitoring and tracking project expenditures against an established budget; and 3) analyzing financial and programmatic data to prepare reports or briefings for management.
