Job Duties

Provides analytical program support to monitor assigned processes of the ARNG Incentive Programs and reviews execution of funds at the State Level.

Affords assistance with the random and specific sample testing of incentive documentation, user roles, and user actions within Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS) as assigned.

Operates within management controls of the program, reviews execution of funds, and maintains Army Audit Agency (AAA) compliance.

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, conducts sampling, State training, State Assistance Visits (SAVs), Incentive Manager Workshops, and policy research.

Keeps Program Manager and other stakeholders informed of taskers, meetings, deadlines and assignments and assists to ensure all requirements are met.

Performs monitoring functions, reporting processes and funds execution as either in compliance or not in compliance with established laws, regulation, and policy.

Abides by the policies and regulations provided by the ARNG-HRM-I Enlisted Incentives and Officer / AMEDD incentive programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a junior analyst to the Site Lead on the effectiveness and the efficiency of program delivery
  • Performs day-to-day program analyst actions including short lead suspense assignments
  • Supports data entry of program-related information into various types of software
  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations
  • Documents, organizes, and tracks the numerous tasks, reports, data requests, memos, formal letters, and other types of documentation associated with the ARNG Incentive Program
  • Maintains performance metrics, performs reviews, quality assurance for errors, missing or incorrect data format, timeliness, schedules, and submittals
  • Prepares drafts of monthly and ad hoc reports
  • Prepares materials for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings, telephone calls, etc.
  • Prepares memos and letters
  • Affords assistance with office administrative requirements such as training records, requests for building passes, calendars and events
  • Affords assistance with other similar tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience required in Army National Guard Selected Reserve Incentive Programs & Payment process
  • Basic knowledge of ARNG Financial Management, Student Loan Repayment, Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS), and applicable law, Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI), Army Regulations (AR), and other pertinent information related to Officer and Enlisted Soldier Incentives
  • Required to be proficient in MS Office Suite Software, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to create, enter, save, retrieve, edit, file and present text, spreadsheets and/or charts
  • Experience in preparing materials needed for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings and telephone calls
  • Proficient in grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Skills in written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in basic math
  • Experience in handling/safeguarding PII
  • Experience in proof reading
  • Experience in customer service and telephone etiquette
  • Basic ability to read and interpret law, DoDIs, ARs, etc
  • Prefer experience within Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS) at the Unit/State and National level and/or Recruiting and Retention experience

Education Requirements

  • Associate's degree required

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Extensive background investigation required
