About the role

The Program Analyst’s role is to assist Osborne programs in achieving programmatic and budgetary goals through providing data and analysis to program leadership and composing internal and external performance reports. The Program Analyst provides quality assurance through regular review and interpretation of data, and oversees the data entry and reporting process to ensure accurate reporting of program performance. The position is currently hybrid, but is subject to change at any time. The person hired for the role may be based out of either our Bronx office or our Brooklyn office.

Key Duties

  • Structuring and maintaining data systems for a designated portfolio of Osborne’s programs.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required by funding agencies.
  • Analyzing and evaluating data that program staff collect and input.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies between our database and databases required by funding agencies.
  • Designing and maintaining internal program reporting systems that provide timely and accurate information on program performance and operations.
  • Training program staff on data entry procedures, including how to use reports and dashboards as tools to monitor and manage programs.
  • Ensuring that all processes (forms, procedures, database infrastructure, etc.) are in place when funding agencies change program reporting/documentation requirements, new contracts are awarded, and/or regulatory data collection standards change.
  • Creating quality assurance systems for various programs to monitor for fidelity, including chart reviews and data quality reviews, and flagging relevant issues to program staff and leadership.
  • Presenting program performance data quarterly at internal Program Performance Review meetings & in key performance indicator reports.
  • Providing strategic analysis to program staff to inform program operations and improve program performance.
  • Creating and maintaining dashboards to visualize data and monitor program performance based on contract terms or internally-set targets for program staff, organizational leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the development, evaluation, and IT departments on reporting, focus groups, database changes, etc.
  • Creating and submitting invoices for performance-based contracts in portfolio.
  • Completing all required training, including training on data confidentiality and HIPAA/PHI compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • In-person attendance is required to collaborate with co-workers.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in social sciences, public administration, business, computer science, information technology, statistics, or other related areas. In lieu of a degree: High School Diploma or equivalent is required and 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience

At least 2 years of relevant experience is required. Non-profit experience is strongly preferred, with an understanding of the criminal legal system environment.

Technical

  • Must have extremely strong spreadsheet skills.
  • Proficient use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs, with familiarity with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Exposure to Salesforce is recommended.
  • Knowledge of basic data visualization concepts would be helpful.

Pay

$68,000 - $70,000 annually
