About the role

The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Based Sensing and Targeting (SBST) Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) within the Airborne Moving Target Indicator (AMTI) Program Office in Chantilly, VA is searching for a Program Analyst (NH-1101-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Shape the future of national space capabilities by driving the development, acquisition, and life-cycle management of resilient space technologies that protect our nation.
  • Take ownership of critical programs from conception to deployment, leading diverse teams of technical, financial, and contracting experts to resolve complex hurdles and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Craft acquisition strategies, monitor contractor performance, brief senior leaders, and collaborate with industry partners to make high-stakes decisions that directly impact global security.
  • Proactively manage complex challenges where no blueprint exists, possessing deep knowledge of program lifecycle management across cost, schedule, and technical performance to make sound, independent decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy, and translate technical data for senior leaders, negotiate on behalf of the organization, and mentor team members to achieve mission success.
  • Manage contractor performance and maintain the required Top-Secret security clearance to safeguard and support our national security.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.”
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 20 days per year.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • PCS is not authorized.
  • Incentive is authorized.
  • This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 20 days per year.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • Position will close in 5 business days or 75 applications (whichever comes first).
