Professor - Radiation Oncology

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Penn State College of Medicine (COM) and Penn State Health (PSH) is recruiting for an open position for a Ph.D. scientist at the level of professor with a strong research focus. This position is tenure eligible based on candidate qualifications and accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate translational research initiatives across the college and the department, via a role as a faculty member in Radiation Oncology, Molecular and Precision Medicine (secondary), and as the Associate Director of CRTEC.
• Involvement in mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral and medical students, teaching, and outreach.
• Identify opportunities for collaborative research, bringing together departmental faculty with colleagues from other programs/academic units and/or institutions.

Requirements

• PhD, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, and have an academic record meriting appointment at the rank of Professor at Penn State University College of Medicine.
• Tenure eligibility will be dependent on credentials and accomplishments.
• Track record of successfully building an innovative basic science research program.
• Demonstrated ability to secure extramural support.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians and scientists.
