About the Role
Faculty member will provide clinical instruction for the Radiologic Technology program at Prisma Health Richland, working closely with both junior- and senior-level students to ensure they gain the clinical competencies and hands-on experience required for eligibility to sit for the ARRT certification examination.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing diagnostic radiographic, fluoroscopic, and mobile imaging procedures while serving as a clinical mentor and role model.
- Foster student learning, professionalism, and safe patient care practices in a clinical environment.
- Coordinate and schedule student clinical rotations each semester to ensure appropriate educational experiences.
- Contribute to the assessment and documentation of student learning outcomes related to clinical education.
- Collaborate with program faculty in a team-teaching approach to patient care instruction throughout the curriculum.
- Promote student success, maintain strong clinical partnerships, and participate in continuous program improvement.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent credential.
- Current certification by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), or eligibility to obtain certification as required by state regulations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience in diagnostic radiologic technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or willingness to obtain a bachelor's degree (qualifies to fully teach a radiology didactic course independently per JRCERT standards).
This position will be located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.
