Professor of Cyber Security
As part of the expansion of Bristol Cyber Security Group, the School of Computer Science is seeking to appoint a Professor of Cyber Security in an open-ended position.
About the role
The main purpose of the role is to carry out excellent and innovative research and teaching in an area aligned with that undertaken within Bristol Cyber Security Group. The successful candidate will provide leadership in their particular field of cyber security.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research in cyber security, aligned with the Bristol Cyber Security Group’s focus areas.
- Publish research in top venues and peer-reviewed journals relevant to the field.
- Teach and supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students.
- Lead and grow a research area within cyber security.
Requirements
- International reputation in cyber security research, aligned with the Bristol Cyber Security Group’s areas of focus.
- Proven record of publication in top-tier venues and peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in teaching and supervising students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and expand a research area.

Pay
£74,828 - £77,537 per annum (Professorial Range 1).
