About the role

The Department of Farm Animals and Veterinary Public Health of the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna is seeking a professor to develop and lead an independent research programme in “One Health Systems Science,” secure funding, represent the university, collaborate with stakeholders, and teach “One Health” in the diploma programme Veterinary Medicine and postgraduate training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research programme in One Health Systems Science
• Acquire funding from national and international providers
• Represent the university in the field
• Collaborate with stakeholders
• Teach “One Health” in the diploma programme Veterinary Medicine and postgraduate training

Requirements

• Completed doctorate (or comparable qualification) in veterinary medicine, agricultural science, natural science, or a related field
• Outstanding track record of research publications
• Proven teaching experience
• Demonstrated success in obtaining funding from national or international providers
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
