Responsibilities
- Be a valuable member of a cohesive project team that develops MOT, construction staging, and traffic control plans on complex traditional or alternative delivery projects.
- Generate innovative construction staging alternatives that optimize traffic operations while maximizing constructability and safety.
- Develop temporary construction plans, including roadway geometrics, alignments, profiles, models, and drainage.
- Develop traffic control plans, including temporary signing, striping, safety devices, and detours.
- Author Traffic Management Plans (TMP) to analyze and document impacts and mitigation techniques to businesses, residents, and surrounding roadway systems.
- Work closely with contractors and owners to understand constructability needs and project MOT goals.
- Mentor less experienced team members and promote the growth of their technical skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain MN licensure within 6 months
- 4+ years of progressive experience developing MOT, construction staging, or traffic control design and plans
- Experienced manager and mentor to staff
- Strong working technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Technical expertise using Microstation/Geopak and Open Roads Designer on transportation projects
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work on schedule
- Design-Build or CM/GC experience preferred
Pay
The base salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
