Responsibilities
- Oversee/manage boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
- Prepare and maintain survey maps, plats, legal descriptions, and technical reports
- Verify the accuracy of field data and calculations, post-process GPS and field data
- Research legal records, land titles, and historical survey data to plot and rectify property boundaries
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and government agencies to support project development
- Advise on land use, zoning, and development based on survey results
- Supervise and train junior office staff; manage survey operations and quality control
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing land surveys
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field, OR licensed in a state prior to education requirements (Grandfathered Clause)
- Must hold a valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License in the states of Georgia and Arkansas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, surveying software (Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access), and strong math and analytical skills
- Understanding of property law, easements, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interpret complex legal and technical documents
