We are looking for a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Jacksonville, FL. The Professional Surveyor delivers high-quality survey services while ensuring safety and technological advancement. Your expertise will foster strong client relationships and guide projects from inception to completion, emphasizing budget adherence, scheduling, and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Foster and grow client relationships; develop and monitor project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for survey projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables.
- Provide oversight of survey activities to ensure assignments meet performance goals.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with other project team members and provide detailed instructions to survey support personnel.
- Keep up with current technology and changes to the programs being used.
- Perform calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
- Compile and research projects as needed prior to starting work.
- Analyze deeds and research materials for the production of the survey.
- Assure that all projects stay on schedule and within budget, and discuss any issues/discrepancies with Supervisor if needed.
- Manage office personnel assigned to your projects.
- Coordinate with the field crew supervisor on project needs and work with field staff to assure the desired product from the field.
- Prioritize projects and their schedules for yourself and staff.
- Coordinate QA/QC scheduling.
- Monitor each project to ensure that the client is satisfied with service and product and that all aspects of the scope have been performed fully and correctly.
- Review timesheets of assigned staff on a daily basis for your assigned projects.
- Coordinate and assist with project estimates as requested.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or (PLS) in the State of Florida; an additional license in Georgia is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Successful history of project management with site development and surveys.
- Experience with MicroStation and GEOPAK including Civil 3D or equivalent transportation surveying project management experience and familiarity with DOT Location & Surveys processes and standards.
- Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
Pay
$123,000 - $159,000 / year
