Position Summary

The Professional Relations & Community Outreach Specialist drives practice growth through referral relationship development, community engagement, local marketing, and social media support across one or more orthodontic locations. This is a hands-on, people-first role for someone who thrives on building connections, representing a brand in the community, and helping practices grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with referring doctors, dental teams, pediatricians, schools, and community partners through regular in-person visits.

  • Cook up referral appreciation efforts including gifts, lunches, thank-you notes, and recognition initiatives.

  • Coordinate lunch & learns, educational meetings, and referral appreciation events.

  • Track referral activity and outreach efforts to support practice growth goals.

  • Represent Epic Orthodontics at community events, school programs, health fairs, and family-focused activities.

  • Aid in planning in-office events, open houses, and patient appreciation activities.

  • Capture photos and videos at events, in-office activities, and team celebrations for social media use.

  • Create and schedule local social media content in alignment with brand standards.

  • Support online reputation management, including encouraging patient reviews and monitoring local engagement.

  • Partner with practice leadership and the marketing team on local growth initiatives and promotional campaigns.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral visits, events, and sponsorships.

  • Prepare activity reports and manage outreach calendars and promotional inventory.

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience in marketing, community outreach, referral relations, or a customer-facing healthcare role preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Google Business preferred.

  • Hightly organized, self-directed, and comfortable traveling between locations.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Familiarity with Canva, social media scheduling tools, or CRM platforms a plus.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

Standard business hours make up most of the schedule, with occasional evenings and weekends required for community events, sponsorships, and patient appreciation activities. Schedule flexibility will be provided to accommodate these commitments.

Bonus Structure

  • $1000 for each net-new referring practice (not active in the last 12 months) that reaches a milestone of three new patient consults — paid as a one-time bonus once that threshold is met

  • $500 per month if monthly consults exceed the practice's monthly budget.

Any earned bonus is payable quarterly per Company policy and is subject to your continued employment through the applicable payment date and your not having delivered notice of intent to terminate prior to that date.
