About the role

This is an independent role overseeing field crews, project teams, and office colleagues while focusing on strong communication as you mentor and direct survey staff. You will manage survey projects from start to finish, including budgets, contracts, schedules, change orders, billing, profitability, and project delivery. Responsibilities

  • Manage survey projects from start to finish, including budgets, contracts, schedules, change orders, billing, profitability, and project delivery.
  • Lead and oversee field crews, project teams, and office staff while assigning workloads, mentoring employees, and ensuring company standards are met.
  • Serve as the primary client contact by leading meetings, communicating project progress, managing expectations, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Support business development through proposals, estimates, pricing, client development, and the delivery of accurate surveying solutions across complex projects.

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor with a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, standards, practices, procedures, and the ability to apply appropriate methods to complex project situations.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, control budgets, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, client relationship, and leadership skills.
