About the role

Help grow Ayres in Minnesota. This is a unique opportunity to support expansion of Ayres survey service line while collaborating with existing team presence in civil engineering, transportation, and MEP divisions. We're seeking someone who is energized by growth and is ready to make a lasting impact in an evolving market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scopes, cost estimates, and proposals
  • Work directly with internal and external clients
  • Perform business development activities
  • Support survey and CAD technicians through all aspects of projects
  • Conduct QA/QC on survey projects
  • Adhere to OSHA and required safety practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, or a related field
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Minnesota or ability to become licensed within 6 months
  • Ability to recognize and embrace new geospatial technologies
  • 5-10 years of diverse field/office experience in survey, performing topographic surveys, construction staking, boundary surveys, right-of-way plats, and control surveys
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record required

  • Adaptable and comfortable taking on evolving responsibilities, including occasional overtime and out-of-town travel

Desired Skills And Experiences

  • Proven ability to monitor project budgets to a successful outcome, oversee project teams, and meet client expectations, schedule, scope, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in team environments
  • Familiarity with MnDOT practices and requirements
  • Ability to take direction from numerous individuals, and channel strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Desire and ability to become a licensed PLS in multiple states outside of Minnesota
  • Networking and developing relationships with clients and peers in the survey profession

Pay

A salary range for this posting is $85,000 - $115,000. The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
