Professional Land Surveyor - NC

About the role

Blew & Associates, P.A. is seeking a talented Professional Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This position involves overseeing and managing survey technicians, performing various types of surveys, and collaborating with drafting managers, design staff, and the operations team.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of survey technicians
• Performing boundary, easement, deed, and title reviews
• Evaluating surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and determine the best approach
• Calculating quantities and volumes
• Communicating with crew chiefs and the operations team on a daily basis
• Collaborating with drafting managers, design staff, and the operations team for status updates, challenge discussions, and plan revisions

Requirements

• A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, with multiple state licensures preferred
• Field and office experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail
• A proven track record of acquiring new clients and generating new revenue
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
• Self-motivation, drive, and the ability to work remotely
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey, with proficiency in Quickbase for logging job statuses
