About the role

The Fulton County Board of Health provides a variety of services that help protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes, and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives. The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Professional Health Care Worker (PH RN3) within the Nursing & Clinical Services Division.

Responsibilities

• Give vaccines and conduct health screenings
• Educate patients and track infectious diseases
• Coordinate care and document health records
• Support community wellness programs
• Assist with school health services and maternal and child health programs
• Participate in emergency response efforts
• Work closely with clinics, schools, and community organizations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university

• Data Utilization: Ability to synthesize, hypothesize, and theorize concerning data involving modification of existing policies, strategies, and methods to meet unique or unusual conditions within the context of organizational theories and management principles.
• Human Interaction: Ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit, including making decisions on procedural and technical levels.
• Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Ability to operate and control the actions of equipment and machinery, requiring monitoring, adjustment, regulation, and setting of multiple conditions.
• Verbal Aptitude: Ability to utilize a wide variety of references, descriptive, advisory, and design data and information.
• Mathematical Aptitude: Ability to perform moderately complex algebraic and geometric operations; utilize principles of basic probability and statistical inference.
• Functional Reasoning: Ability to apply principles of logical synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; analyze major problems requiring complex planning for interrelated activities spanning one or several work units.
• Situational Reasoning: Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
