About the role

The Geotechnical Engineering team at Barry Isett & Associates is seeking a licensed Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to manage projects and contribute to the growth of our client base and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications, and plans
  • Field inspections of geotechnical and foundation projects
  • Execution of geotechnical project assignments including engineering analysis, report preparation, field exploration, and laboratory services
  • Designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction
  • Attending design meetings to provide clients with recommendations on project direction
  • Supporting construction activities including overseeing the installation of deep foundations, soil remediation, stabilization, demolition, underpinning, sinkhole remediation, etc.
  • Ensuring client needs are anticipated and consistently fulfilled

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required
  • M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
  • PE or PG Registration (depending on prior experience)
  • Minimum of seven years’ field experience in industry, environmental consulting, or a regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Dedication to client satisfaction
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 Clearances, as required for PA school projects

Qualifications

  • BSCE required

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position can be based out of either the Allentown or Wyoming Valley office.
