About the role

CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm ranked in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We have an opening for a licensed Professional Engineer in Land Development who will manage all facets of projects, including business development, client management, project management, presentations, conceptual design, construction documents, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Engineer of Record for design, permitting, and construction administration of projects.
  • Prepare accurate presentation, design, details, and construction documents.
  • Oversee the project design team, including engineers, designers, consultants, and clients.
  • Collaborate with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
  • Research, interpret, and implement relevant codes and client requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and utilize CPH and client standards and templates.
  • Prepare specifications, review shop drawings, and provide construction administration support as Engineer of Record.
  • Travel periodically for business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation, including preparation or review of reports and exhibits.
  • Oversee compilation of construction plans from all disciplines and submit to agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Mentor project Engineers, Designers, and Technicians.
  • Review documents prepared by others and implement project quality control.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Florida (ability to obtain additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus).
  • 5+ years of U.S. experience in design and permitting of public or private projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Thorough understanding of the project process from concept through construction.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating and determining design solutions.
  • Experience in stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design.
  • Effective in providing instruction, teaching, and mentoring positively and constructively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Superior social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Up to 25% travel.

Pay

$85,000 – $127,000 per year.
