About the role
The Professional Engineer II uses engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination and structural design services and models for customers. They ensure building’s structural integrity and safety, develop advanced product and procedure knowledge, and improve technical knowledge. They focus on achieving department objectives and profitability goals, and continuously improve as part of a high-performance work team. They assure customer design service needs are met by meeting design schedules, collaborate with project teams to discuss problems and challenges, and help create solutions to move forward in a cost-effective and efficient manner. They also provide technical assistance to customers on specific projects and new entry-level designers.
Responsibilities
- Uses engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination and structural design services and models for customers.
- Affirm building’s structural integrity and safety.
- Develops own advanced product and procedure knowledge and improve technical knowledge.
- Focuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance work team.
- Affirm customer design service needs by meeting design schedules.
- Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Provides technical assistance to customers on specific projects and new entry-level Designers.
- Develops Structural Quotes.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Has 6 years of engineering experience.
- Has 2 years of engineering experience on complex multi-unit projects.
