About the role
Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Professional Electrical Engineer in our Indianapolis Headquarters office to assist in delivering electrical engineering services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- All phases of electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, including power distribution, motor control, grounding and lightning protection, exterior and interior lighting, standby power generation systems, MCC design, specification writing, and construction cost estimating.
- Work on large municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Assist communities and industries in solving challenging environmental infrastructure problems as part of a project team.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (graduate degree is a plus).
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Indiana or Kentucky (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- 10+ years of electrical design experience.
- Sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals with the ability to apply them to real-world applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to serve as a mentor to junior team members.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Ability to speak and write professionally.
Skills
- Control System coursework or experience is a plus.
- Revit or AutoCAD experience is a plus.
