Professional Document Contributor

About the role

Handshake is seeking experienced professionals to contribute high-quality, real-world professional documents to support AI research. This is not a traditional consulting, legal, finance, software engineering, or data science role. Instead, you'll help build high-quality datasets that improve how AI understands real-world business, technical, legal, and analytical work.

Who This Is For

This opportunity is designed for experienced professionals who have created high-quality written documents as part of their work. This is not a traditional full-time role. You'll submit your information once and, if qualified, be invited to participate in document contribution projects as opportunities become available.

Requirements

• Professional experience in consulting, finance, legal, software engineering, data science, or a related field
• High-quality professional documents in English that you own or are authorized to share
• Documents that primarily consist of written content (such as Microsoft Word documents or text-based PDFs)

Please note that slide decks, spreadsheets, presentations, and primarily data-based files are generally not eligible for this project.

Work Model and Project Details

• Status: Independent contractor (not a full-time employee role)
• Location: Fully remote
• Project Type: One-time or recurring document contribution opportunities, depending on project availability
• Compensation: Earn $6 USD for every accepted page
• Submission Limit: Up to 50 documents, with up to 100 pages per document
• Earning Potential: Opportunity to earn up to $30,000 USD if all submitted pages are accepted
• Selection: Document submissions are reviewed for eligibility and quality. Compensation is provided only for accepted pages that meet project requirements.

Work Authorization Information

F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects on Handshake AI. Work with your Designated School Official to determine your eligibility. If your school requires a CPT course, Handshake AI may not meet your school's requirements. STEM OPT is not supported.
