About the role
The Professional Development & Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting workforce development across the RTC by overseeing training, onboarding, and staff development initiatives. This role ensures all staff are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and competencies required to deliver trauma-informed, youth-centered care in alignment with Little Flower policy, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) standards, and other relevant laws and policies. The coordinator works collaboratively with agency leaders and subject matter experts to deliver engaging learning experiences and promote continuous professional growth. This position offers a full-time, 35-hour-per-week, hybrid work schedule and is based in Little Flower’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) located in Wading River, Suffolk County. The role requires travel to Little Flower’s Wading River campus and other business-related locations when needed. From time to time, this position requires work outside of normally scheduled working hours and requires occasional overnight travel for training purposes.
