About the role
The MSU Detroit Center seeks a temporary office assistant to support the welcoming environment and customer services for groups and visitors at the Center. Key responsibilities include answering phones, managing email, triaging services, setting up event spaces, providing AV/technical assistance, documenting event attendance, maintaining records, updating schedules, and performing other administrative tasks as directed.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and triage services
- Set up and provide AV/technical assistance for events
- Document event and building attendance
- Stock supplies and maintain accurate records
- Update event schedules and social media presence
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills (online, phone, in person)
- Able to maintain accurate logistics and records
- Facility management experience
