About the Role
Full-time faculty position in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences, Division of Medical Pathology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert instruction and mentorship in medical pathology at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conduct and supervise research in pathology, cytology, and related health sciences
- Participate in departmental academic and clinical activities
- Serve on thesis advisory committees for graduate students
- Engage in scholarly publication and disseminate research findings
- Contribute to the academic mission through research projects and open science practices
Qualifications
- Associate Professor or Assistant Professor rank with relevant academic experience
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in pathology or a closely related field
- Expert-level research experience in clinical medicine with a focus on surgical pathology and cytology
- Active research portfolio with publications in WoS, Scopus, and/or Scholar-indexed journals
- Demonstrated experience in graduate student supervision (thesis advisory)
- Track record of securing and managing research projects
- Open access publication experience
Skills
- Expertise in medical pathology, surgical pathology, and cytology
- Strong record of scholarly publication and citation impact
- Research competencies aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Experience in multidisciplinary health sciences research
- Proficiency in academic mentoring and teaching
