About the role
voestalpine Wire Rod Austria GmbH is seeking a Production Worker for its wire rolling mill in St. Peter-Freienstein. The role involves working in shift teams on the world's most advanced rolling mill, producing high-quality wire rods while upholding values of quality, innovation, flexibility, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Rolling of wire rods and monitoring/controlling the rolling process
- Preparing forming tools and performing setup tasks
- Compacting and binding wire rods
- Transporting wire rods and semi-finished products using forklifts and cranes
- Loading trucks and wagons
- Testing wire rods
- Operating computer-controlled control systems
Requirements
- Completed vocational training, preferably in the metal sector
- Technical understanding
- Forklift and crane licenses advantageous
- Work experience preferred
- Willingness to work shifts (3-shift system)
- High willingness to learn and team spirit

Pay
The actual salary depends on qualifications and experience, typically ranging from €2,698.59 gross to €2,800.00 gross per month. The collective agreement minimum salary is €2,698.59 gross (14 times per year). Employment is through partner companies with the prospect of direct hiring by voestalpine.
Qualifications
Completed vocational training, preferably in the metal sector, with technical understanding and, ideally, forklift and crane licenses.
