About the role

Join the wire after-treatment team at voestalpine Wire Rod Austria GmbH in St. Peter-Freienstein. The team of 40 colleagues is responsible for the complete surface treatment of wire rod and lives by the company values of quality, innovation, flexibility, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Operating pickling and annealing equipment in the wire after-treatment area
• Compacting and strapping wire rod
• Quality control of wire rod
• Material transport using forklift trucks
• Operating control systems
• Loading and unloading the high-bay warehouse

Requirements

• Completed vocational training, preferably in the metal sector
• Technical understanding
• Forklift license and crane license are an advantage
• Professional experience is an advantage
• Willingness to work shifts (3‑shift and 4‑shift systems)
• Independent and responsible working style
• High willingness to learn and team orientation
• Commitment and flexibility

Pay

The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is € 2,698.59 gross (14 times per year). Actual compensation depends on qualifications and professional experience. Employment is initially through our partner companies (personnel leasing) with the prospect of direct hire by voestalpine.
