Production Worker (SPF)

About the Role

Hydro Extrusions, a world-leading aluminium extrusion business with 100 production sites in 40 countries and 20,000 employees, is offering a position with a starting rate of pay at $23.41/hr. Shifts available are EOWEO, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, with a $1.00/hour shift premium for differentials.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material, or equipment needs.
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Safely and efficiently operate assigned equipment or machines.
• Lift and stack products.
• Maintain efficiency standards set for assigned areas.
• Maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
• Accurately record numbers or lengths of units handled or moved.

Requirements

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
• Ability to use a calculator
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Work long hours as needed in seasonal temperatures
• Read and understand basic commands in English
• Read, understand, and follow all work and safety instructions
• Work well with others as part of a team
• Possess a willingness to learn and an eagerness to grow
• Follow detailed directions

Qualifications

• Little to no previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience is needed.
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is helpful but not required.
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment, including a forklift or Combi, is helpful but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Pay

Starting rate of pay: $23.41/hr.

Schedule

EOWEO, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential.
