Position Summary
The Soil Production employee performs tasks involved in receiving and preparation of soiled healthcare linens for the laundering process. The employee follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. The employee must exhibit accountability and flexibility in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, strenuous production environment.
Essential Duties And Other Responsibilities
- Follow processes, work rules, and policies to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
- Operate machinery safely and responsibly.
- Wear required personal protective equipment when in the soil area.
- Maintain production standards.
- Exhibit a positive and professional attitude.
- Show respect towards management and co-workers.
- Notify Supervisor of any safety, mechanical, or material issues promptly.
- Perform housekeeping and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Exhibit accountability and flexibility.
- Report to work on a timely basis and maintain attendance according to Superior Linen's policies.

Required Education, Training, Experience and Licenses
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in a production environment is desired.
- Must ensure the right to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Some computer/basic math skills may be required.
Working Conditions
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand or walk for a ten-hour shift, push/pull linen carts weighing as much as 700 lbs, have range of motion in upper extremities to perform all duties, lift overhead weights as much as 20 lbs, and bend at the waist to place or retrieve linen bundles at or from floor height.
- Work Environment: Moderate noise levels, moderate temperatures with the exception of summer months when temperatures may exceed 110 degrees for extended periods.
