Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or enter into computer control systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of the work area
  • Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols including wearing necessary Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment or process issues
  • Communicate effectively within the team and organization
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing priorities
  • Perform tasks such as sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day

Requirements

  • Three years or more of experience working in an industrial operation OR/AND an associate degree in a relevant field, OR/AND a technical certification, demonstrating specialized knowledge and skills
  • Experience using math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and reading a tape measure
  • Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
  • A High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

  • Pulp & Paper industry experience
  • College experience, 2-year degree, or technical certification
  • Lift truck or other industrial equipment experience

Skills

  • Mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Reading a tape measure

Pay

This position pays $24.15 per hour, with the ability to earn up to $46.61 per hour based on performance and qualifications.

Schedule

The Production Workers will work rotating twelve-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The rotation is 4 days, 7 off, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights, and 3 off (7:00 am to 7:00 pm days and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am nights).
