Production Worker - Packaging 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
- Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
- Prepare and process raw material for cooking or cut & package finished product for shipment.
- Operate taping machines, shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, trash and recycling compactors as needed.
- Perform standard operating procedures for production and inspection functions.
- Complete all necessary technical and soft skills training and skills verification.
- Return from breaks in a timely manner; notify lead/foreman/supervisor before leaving the department.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork as directed.
- Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area; immediately report accidents and deficiencies.
- Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly; suggest improvements to quality of support activities.
- Perform all duties within OSHA and company safety standards; follow GMPs, HACCP training, SOPs, and SSOPs.
- Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified; keep record of products used to follow FIFO.
- Count and place packages in appropriate caddies, maintaining accurate records; wash and sanitize carts, racks, and trucks.
- Handle finished product continuously, placing it in trays or assembly lines for shipment.
- Make pallets by stacking boxes, prepare with cardboard wrapping, manually shrink wrap, and move pallets with manual pallet jack.

- Preferred: Knowledge of warehouse and assembly line experience is a plus.

Pay
The hiring range for this role is $15.81 – $23.71 per hour. Actual wages will vary based on market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is one component of Link Snacks’ Total Rewards package, which may include annual incentives and program-specific awards.

Schedule
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
Work Environment
The work environment is a plant setting with varying temperatures and noise levels, exposure to manufacturing equipment movement, and wet/slippery floors.
