Production Worker - Multiple Positions Open - Navasota, Texas

About the role

Join our team as a Full-Time Crew Member at our new facility in Navasota, TX. This is an opportunity to learn various trades in the construction field with on-the-job training provided. No prior experience is necessary, though it is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe, indoor facility to assist in the construction of manufactured and modular homes.
• Perform tasks requiring standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Handle tools and materials, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally over 100 pounds.
• Follow safety procedures and work quickly and methodically as part of a team.
• Adhere to Champion Operating Principles.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and good teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work efficiently.
• Less than high school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, modular housing, or construction is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear.
• Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Starting rate of $16/hour for a Monday-Friday day shift position. Overtime may be required.
