Production Worker-Entry level pay starting at $18/hour

Responsibilities

• Assist Molders with sand flasks, shake out finished molds, and remove castings as required.
• Mix sand for molders using the molders’ friend sand cutter.
• Pour hot aluminum into sand molds.
• Sweep and clean work areas as needed.
• Operate bridge crane or forklift to move, load, and unload materials and supplies within the department.
• Transport product, parts, and materials using forklift, pallet jack, or crane.
• Work supportively with team members and departments to meet quotas and goals.
• Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
• Use basic hand tools and read a tape measure.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Adhere to TCF Core Values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, dependent upon location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in a foundry or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and report issues.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• May be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack based on department needs.

Training & Certifications

The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:

• JSA completion
• Forklift Operations
• PPE identification and usage
• Crane Training
• Hazard awareness/identification
• Lift table operations
• Rigging safety

Understands SQDE Metrics.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Continuously stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms above shoulder height, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally climb, balance, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below, and work in limited space.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to:

• Moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
• Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, and/or caustic chemicals.
• Loud noise levels in the work environment.
