Production Worker

About the role

As a Production Worker at Sharon Tube, a division of Zekeman Industries, located in Niles, OH, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the production line and maintaining safety standards. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates hand and/or power equipment
• Ensures proper operation and maintenance of machinery to meet production standards
• Runs machinery
• Controls various types of equipment to ensure smooth production processes
• Handles materials
• Responsible for moving raw materials to designated areas to keep production running smoothly
• Ensures safety procedures
• Follows all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
• Operates mobile equipment
• Uses forklift or other mobile equipment for material handling
• Uses packing and banding equipment
• Efficiently operates packing and banding machines to prepare products for shipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Supports team efforts by completing any other tasks requested by management

Requirements

• 1+ years of industrial experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Proven ability to work with machines and understand basic mechanical functions
• Strong focus on quality and reliability
• Flexible to work various shifts as required by the job
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet production demands
• Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lead and promote health and safety practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy

Qualifications

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk or stand at least 80% of the shift
