Position Overview
- 1st Shift: 6AM - 2PM Monday - Friday; Saturdays as needed
- 2nd Shift: 2PM - 10PM Monday - Friday; Saturdays as needed
- 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6AM Sunday- Thursday; Fridays as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform visual quality checks and remove damaged product from the conveyor.
- Place product in packaging pockets and visually inspect for quality defects.
- Identify and remove non-conforming products for rework or disposal.
- Apply sleeves to packages and maintain label supplies.
- Feed boxes into the box maker and place packaged product into boxes.
- Clear jam-ups and monitor box sealing.
- Pick up and sanitize fallen product.
- Handle product from metal detectors and X-Ray rejection bins.
- Record and document rework product.
- Assist with tear-down and set-up of packaging line components.
- Perform sanitation duties including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment.
- Exercise safety precautions and follow GMP and SQF requirements.
- Communicate rejects to QA and Leadership.
- Guide new workers and provide backup assistance in Palletizing.
Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with changing environmental conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
Qualifications
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Basic math skills.
- Common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Physical demands: standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, lifting up to 25#, and occasionally lifting up to 50#.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to tolerate working with sanitation chemicals.
Skills
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Basic computer proficiency.
