Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans using TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report to supervisor, Quality Assurance, and/or Engineering
• Perform basic assembly of components and sub-assemblies
• Operate resistance spot weld machines to assemble products
• Perform basic safety inspections on equipment and record data
• Complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) checks and charts as required
• Conduct weld destruct testing and record data
• Perform basic machine maintenance and weld tip changes
• Conduct 100% visual inspection and packaging of product
• Operate machines at optimum efficiency to achieve acceptable rates
• Tag and label containers per work instructions
• Maintain housekeeping and perform other assigned activities
• Assist with inventory

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• SPC (Statistical Process Control) preferred but not required
• Training on proper machine settings, tagging, labeling, inspection, destruct, and packaging procedures specific to the assigned work cell

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic machine operation skills
• Prior assembly experience helpful but not required
• Ability to use a calculator

Working Conditions

• Ability to move throughout the plant
• Extended sitting and standing; reaching and bending
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required
• Loud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment as required
