Production Worker
About the role
The Production Worker position at International Paper's Portland Box Facility requires a flexible schedule to work shifts ranging from 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 PM to 7 AM, or 7 AM to 7 PM for 2 days, followed by a 24-hour break before working another 2 days. This role involves moving or lifting heavy objects, maintaining production records, examining products, cleaning work areas, adjusting production equipment, monitoring machinery operation, sorting materials, loading/unloading containers, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production or work records
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
- Clean rooms or work areas
- Adjust production equipment/machinery set-up
- Clean equipment or machinery
- Monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems
- Sort manufacturing materials or products
- Load, unload or stack containers/materials and products
- Assigned to open positions in the facility, which may include forklift driving
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. Basic shop math skills are required, along with attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Pay
Starting pay rate is $23.15/hr, with a potential increase to $27.36/hr following a new hire evaluation period.
Schedule
Hourly, Full-Time (Four 12-hour days per week).
