Production Worker

About the role

We are seeking General Laborers and Machine Operators in our Production and Warehouse Departments at our Fulton, New York facility. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the hygiene and safety of food and drink, while contributing to our mission of making packaging sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently set up, start up, adjust, and shut down production machines.
• Stand and walk at and around production equipment; bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift cases of finished product up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Show good eye/hand coordination, recognize colors, and have the ability to work in ambient temperatures.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Maintain production and quality standards, follow job standard operating procedures, and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Work well with other production workers and perform daily clean-up procedures.
• Perform duties such as cleaning, sweeping, packing, palletizing, painting, and others as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older at time of hire.
• A high school diploma/GED is preferred; related education such as National Work Readiness Certificate, BOCES/Vocational Education Training Certificate, community college continuing Education Certificate, or A.A.S. degree in Technical programs (electronics, manufacturing, engineering, computer science) is preferred.
• One to three years of machine operator experience is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and experience working with automated/computerized machinery are required.
• Preferred industrial experience includes work in manufacturing factories, power plants, recycling plants, paper mills, warehousing, distribution centers, high tech material handling environments, machining, fabrication, and assembly, or metal work, or military experience.
