Production Worker

About the role

We are a global provider of sustainable packaging solutions dedicated to making all packaging recyclable, reusable, or compostable. Our mission is to ensure the hygiene and safety of food and drink for people worldwide. This role is based in our Fulton, New York facility.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently set up, start up, adjust, and shut down production machines.
• Stand and walk at and around production equipment; frequent bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting cases of finished product up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Recognize colors and have good eye/hand coordination.
• Work collaboratively with other production workers.
• Maintain production and quality standards, following job standard operating procedures and all safety procedures.
• Perform cleaning, sweeping, packing, palletizing, painting, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older at time of hire.
• A high school diploma/GED is preferred; related education such as a National Work Readiness Certificate, BOCES or Vocational Education Training Certificate, community college continuing Education Certificate, or an A.A.S. degree in a technical program field (electronics, manufacturing, engineering, computer science) is preferred.
• One to three years of machine operator experience is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and experience working with automated/computerized machinery.
• Industrial experience with skilled trades such as millwright, carpenter, electrician, operating engineer, laborer, or industrial experience in manufacturing factories, power plants, recycling plants, paper mills, warehousing, distribution centers, high tech material handling environments, machining, fabrication, and assembly, or metal work, or military service.
