Production Worker (1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift) - Entry level pay starting at $18.00/hr + shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift)

Key Responsibilities

• May be responsible for the kitting process.
• Maintain inventory counts of nuts, bolts, screws, metal, lumber, etc.
• Transport product, parts, and materials by using forklift, pallet jack, or crane.
• Understand and execute work orders provided by VSA’s, VSL’s or VSM’s.
• Work supportively with the appropriate departments to meet quotas and goals.
• Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
• Follow all shop orders and blueprints.
• Able to use basic hand tools and read tape measure.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems and report issues.
• Must work well in a team environment.

Additional Information

• Based on department, may be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack.
• The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company: JSA completion, Forklift Operations, PPE identification and usage, Crane Training, hazard awareness/identification, Lift table operations, Rigging safety.

• Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
• Continuous lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.
• Continuous standing.
• Frequent bending/stooping, reaching with hands and arms above shoulder height, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and working in limited space.
• Close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Specific vision abilities required include continuous lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, continuous standing, frequent bending/stooping, reaching with hands and arms above shoulder height, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and working in limited space.
• Work Environment:
• Continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
• Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
