About the role
Italian Rose, a Perimeter Brands company, is seeking Production Workers to join our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Riviera Beach, FL. We are the category-leading producer of fresh produce-based salsa in North America, offering branded, private label, contract-manufactured, and food service salsa products.Responsibilities
- The Prep Area:
- Reads the recipe and prepares, weighs, inspects, cleans, and sets up all ingredients to the product mixing area.
- Unboxes or separates ingredients from the manufactured page and puts them on a buggy.
- Evaluates all ingredients, sorts, and rejects those that are not good.
- Cleans, washes, or dries fresh ingredients (stemming or picking).
- Reads the recipe and divides ingredients according to the measures indicated for this mix.
- Runs the fresh ingredients through the chop line.
- The Packing Area:
- Supplies the line with correctly packed items for the running product.
- Assembles boxes and labels them properly, using the correct boxes and labels.
- Limits the product jars in the box, ensuring the date and lot are correct.
- Organizes the product according to internal packing specifications.
- Closes the boxes or wraps them according to the packaging type.
- The Sanitation Area:
- Cleans and sanitizes all processing and packaging equipment throughout the plant.
- Cleans conveyor belts, screens, filters, pipes, walls, totes, rollers, tables, and freezers, ensuring proper cleaning procedures are followed.
- Ensures product specification standards are met as required by company-authorized standards while performing tasks safely and efficiently.
- Maintains clean and orderly conditions in production departments, performing any combination of duties.
- Cleans floors using a water hose and applies a floor drier.
- Inspects areas requiring attention.
Qualifications & Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
- Some manufacturing experience in food manufacturing is desirable.
- Must be able to work overtime, including unscheduled shifts, Saturdays, or Sundays.
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 38°F to 45°F and capable of handling strong food odors from fresh-cut produce.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills are essential.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Able to work on their feet for extended periods.
- Reliable mode of transportation is required.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Basic math knowledge is beneficial.
