About the role
Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Production Welder to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.
Schedule
- 1st shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 am–2:00 pm
- 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–12:00 am
Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends, and some holidays).
Pay
- $25/hour base rate
- $1.50/hour shift premium for 2nd shift
- $1.00/hour shift premium for 3rd shift

Responsibilities
- Set up welding equipment and supplies before executing job orders; test and measure finished products.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively for welding.
- Stop to make minor repairs of welding machinery when product or machines are not to standard.
- Provide sufficient quantity of repaired parts to ensure delivery schedules are sustained.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and adhere to industry regulations.
- Handle time accounting and complete work orders.
- Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely.
- Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Company procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, ASME, and NEC standards.
- Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
- 2 years of experience MIG and/or TIG welding steel and galvanized steel (preferred).
- 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools (preferred).
- Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with machines and general tooling.
- Skilled in hand and power tool usage.
- Ability to follow proper safety procedures.
- Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues.
- Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.
Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
