- Read and follow technique card assembly instructions, which describe numerous unique assembly steps of a complex nature; plan methods for completing assignments and select among alternative assembly methods.
- Accurately assemble complex multi-component patterns to maintain dimensional integrity using torch, hot pencils, and a variety of hand tools.
- Assemble complex patterns using full-time dimensional fixturing to maintain dimensional control and stability.
- Manipulate fixture/pattern components to remove configuration discrepancies and verify dimensional integrity.
- Develop code sheets for engineering-requested modifications or deviations to standard assemblies, if required.
- Inspect assemblies during and after the assembly process to detect defects and ensure quality.
Requirements
- Ability to apply pattern assembly techniques, methods, materials, fixturing, and construction.
