About the role
This position is located in Oxford, MS, and involves supporting production operations on 2nd or 3rd shift after completing six weeks of training on 1st shift.
Responsibilities
- Remove finished product from the production floor and input into automated production reporting system
- Open boxes and lift materials onto tables from the floor area weighing up to 50 pounds
- Hand pack product into cartons using appropriate tools
- Safely use walk-behind powered industrial trucks; transport raw materials into the facility using industrial truck (forklift) and manual material handling equipment
- Utilize best work practices and housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- Industrial truck (forklift) or equivalent manual material handling equipment experience preferred
- Recent, full-time work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Must be able to attend orientation and training on 1st shift (7:30am - 3:30pm) for six weeks before transitioning to 2nd or 3rd shift
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekend hours
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, background check, and functional physical testing
- Ability to use standard safety equipment and wear all required personal protective equipment (in extreme hot/cold environments)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Access to ITAR controlled technical data, with employment contingent upon ability to access such data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required
- Successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN are not eligible)
Pay
$19.66 per hour, increasing to $22.00 per hour after completing 90 days with successful evaluations.
Schedule
- Training: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm) for six weeks
- Primary assignment: 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 11:30pm) or 3rd shift (Monday - Friday, 11:30pm - 7:30am)
