Production Test Technician 1st Shift

About the role
Sanmina is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Test Technician for our Fremont, CA location. In this role, you will set up and perform tests of complex electromechanical systems, primarily semiconductor processing equipment, per standard procedures, document results, and assist in troubleshooting when needed.
Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical systems at the system level.
- Document test results in approved forms or computer systems.
- Troubleshoot or identify errors in system-level tests.
- Identify and comply with quality and safety requirements, including ESD regulations and safe electrical working practices.
- Perform testing in a clean room environment as required.
- Perform testing efficiently to support production needs.
- Work closely with engineers to prioritize and plan effectively.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or Technician Certification in Electronics or Semiconductor Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of related industry experience in a testing role.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
- Experience using test equipment including multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and test plans.
- Experience maintaining written and computerized records of work performed.
- Basic knowledge of workplace productivity software such as Microsoft Office or Google Products.
- Self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent teamwork and time management skills.
- Must be a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).
Additional Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Previous experience in QC inspection for SMT (Surface Mount Technology), PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), or mechanical components.
- Familiarity with automated inspection tools or precision measurement instruments.
Pay
Annual salary range: $45,760 - $56,160 ($22.00 - $27.00 per hour). Actual base pay within this range will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
