Production Test Engineer

About the role

Leidos’ Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a talented Test Engineer to join our team at our Platform Integration Facility located in Huntsville, AL.

You will be supporting a rapidly growing program and will work alongside a group of test engineers (electrical/mechanical) and test technicians, developing acceptance and qualification testing procedures for multiple electronic and mechanical components. This position will be supporting ongoing test cases and establishing procedures, baselines, and methods for the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Creating, modifying, and executing test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of manufacturing projects.
• Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
• Performing test data analysis and generating test reports from that analysis.
• Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.
• Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
• The position is primarily in a manufacturing environment but may require working outside in all weather conditions.
• Candidate will also handle all tasks assigned by the supervisor and be writing reports and updating records.
• Candidate will be part of a diverse team whose work will include setting up test equipment, performing functional testing of hardware, confirming software functionality, setting up dynamic/climatic test environments, and subsystem AI&T.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or electrical engineering with 2-4 years of experience.
• Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more focus areas, have good interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team.
• Candidate must possess basic skills using hand tools, electrical troubleshooting (DMM), and MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Candidate must be able to work independently, or as part of a team, in a dedicated workforce.
• Candidate must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and must possess and/or be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
