Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance on a broad variety of production equipment such as:
- CNC and manual machining centers
- Vibratory and centrifugal mass finishing machines
- Medical product inspection systems and instruments
- Ultrasonic cleaners, microscopes, and rotary hand pieces
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.
- Actively participate in TPM activities, including equipment cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to maintain equipment reliability. Diagnose problems and perform corrective maintenance on such equipment as required and/or escalate to Facilities/Engineering team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair history. Utilize maintenance software and paper records to track and document maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Work closely with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to support production goals and initiatives. Support other departments and individuals as appropriate.
- Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions:
- Get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes.
- Respond appropriately to coaching from a supervisor.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production or maintenance role, preferably in a TPM environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with TPM principles, and proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to document maintenance activities in conformance with good manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction. Required to read, write, and speak English with good command of the language, follow verbal and written instructions, and use simple math.
- Basic computer skills including, at minimum, proficiency in MS Office, internet, and electronic mail.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Manage time appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
